Matt Walls of the magazine Decanter writes for the 2016 Crozes-Hermitage rouge Maison les Alexandrins: "The best Crozes-Hermitage I've tasted from Alexandrins to date" and awards 91/100.
In fact, this vintage has an enchanting finesse, somehow the opposite of its opulent predecessor, but qualitatively on a similar level and also very long-lived. Nicolas Perrin aged this wine for 10 months in oak barrels and another 6 months in steeltanks before it was bottled and delivered. The lively freshness and the very precise and ripe tannins inspire us here especially. An enchanting "cool climate" Syrah with ageing potential.
