The Berg Roseneck is a top south-facing vineyard in Ruedesheim, between the Schlossberg and the Drachenstein. Structured Riesling with mineral depth and a noticeable acid bite are produced here, which is why a certain bottle maturity is good for them. This applies in particular to the straightforward style at the Breuer winery, where the Roseneck requires aging in the bottle and rewards the patient with a balance and finesse that sets in after a few years. 2015 was an excellent vintage, which is now entering its first phase of enjoyment.
Falstaff magazine awards 97/100 points and writes: "Delicately fragrant, but not yet wide open: lily of the valley, mineral-burning aromas. Silky in the mouth for a moment, then fine, plastic phenols and juicy acidity gain intensity. Slim and highly condensed, still young and lively, stylistically à point."
