Château la Pointe is still something of an insider tip in Pomerol, although first-class wines have been produced here for years, not least thanks to Hubert de Boüard de Laforest from Château l’Angelus, who works here as a consultant.
The 2015 vintage shows a wonderful elegance, thanks to its fine tannins and perfect balance. It shows aromas of cherry, blackberry, blueberry, vanilla and toast notes, a little truffle and light tobacco. He is nearing his best drinking phase, which should last at least until 2035. 91-93/100 Wine Advocate, 95/100 James Suckling
