For the Castillo di Almansa Crianza by Bodegas Piqueras , Monastrell, Garnacha Tintorella and Cabernet Sauvignon are used, whose vines are between 20 and 40 years old and grow in cool heights between 750 and 900m. Cultivated according to ecological guidelines, aged in American barriques, where the wine is stored for 6 months. This produces a rich and intense red wine with fruit notes such as plums and cassis, as well as leather and black pepper. On the palate it is balanced and surprisingly intense for this class, the finish is surprisingly long and fruity basic character.
A highly pleasing wine for little money, which goes well with meat dishes or mild cheese.
