Ernest Tolj of Saints Hills named his entry-level red wine from Dalmatia "Black". The Plavac Mali grape dominates here, aged in barrique between 12 and 18 months, depending on the vintage.
In 2014 there was only one red wine at Saints Hills. Since quality and quantity were not sufficient for the production of Sv Roko and Dingac, it was decided to market everything existing (it was not much) under the Black label. So this Black-vintage comes from first-class vineyards, which are normally reserved for the top wines of the winery.
