The L'Amarone del Maestro Fornaser is the noble selection of Monte Faustino Amarone, this Riserva pays homage to the founder of the winery. The winery calls it "Cru della Cru". This special and rare wine is only available in very good years. The grapes are dried a month longer than usual and the wine is also stored in the barrel for a year longer than the normal Amarone before it is bottled. After further bottle storage, it is then put on the market, which is often only eight years after the harvest.
The result is one of the very best Amarone wines with impressive density and concentration. Those who love voluminous wines will find fulfillment here. It couldn't be better, and if it does, it usually costs at least three times as much. So this not exactly cheap wine is actually a bargain.
