Thierry Mortet is a traditionalist among the Burgundy winegrowers , his wines are precise, delicate and seductive when they have achieved the right maturity.
2011 is a charming Burgundy vintage with soft tannins and a nice opulent charakter, the wines can be drunk early, but will also mature well in bottle.
Thierry Mortets Gevrey-Chambertin comes from a 3.1 hectare parcel, whose vines have an age between 15 and 60 years. Of course, everything is harvested by hand and macerated at 13 to 14 degrees centigrade for 5 days. After fermentation, the wine is caged in new barriques. Before bottling, the wine gets a light filtration. The 2011er is a real pleasure to drink now. Organic wine, controlled by DE-ÖKO-006
