The Roxanich Antica consists of the local grape variety Malvazija Istriana and is vinified according to ancient models. It is fermented with the mash and then stored for three years in wooden barrels, which leads to an orange wine with a very intense character. Here you can find oxidative aromas like dried fruit, it is reminiscent of cinnamon, bitter almond and ginger, on the palate it shows noticeably tannins, even a noticeable acidity. This is a really blatant and unconventional, but high-quality wine that you have to get involved with. This wine is not for everyone, but it will find its fans.
